I am having breakfast. Yesterday evening I met two students from the school of mission; Margarita from Portugal and Katrina from Australia. Here is a drawing Margarita did on my sketchbook. The school of mission is a one year program were students from all around the world follow a program to be capable of being in a catholic mission.
In the morning I go to the Vatican museum. I had to queue for almost 30 minutes chatting with a Japanese tourist visiting with his father.
Here are some photos I took in the museum.
I met a Belgian guide speaking in French; I followed his group listening to his very didactic explanations. He is art historian and organizes art tours. I am very lucky to listen to his speech; he speaks eloquently of the paintings of the Caravaggio. His name is Bernard Sohet, this is a link to his website: http://www.reg-arts.be/ .
I had to stop my visit to the museum to go back and have lunch with the students of the school of mission. Miguel, Katrina and Margarita are on the same table with me. I have a great pleasure to discuss with them.
One hour siesta is welcome to rest and digest all I have experienced.
I remember that God is Love and abandonment to Providence is like philosophers stone that turns everything it touches to Gold.
Around 20h I visit an art exhibition where paintings of Matisse and Bonnard are shown. It’s a good idea to take the walkman guide.
